The Journal of Mind-Body Regulation published a book review (July 2012) of my book, Mindfulness and Hypnosis: The Power of Suggestion to Transform Experience. The book was described as "skillfully braiding together disparate strands of empirical research and clinical practice to shed light on the role of suggestion in mindfulness practice...Yapko's accessible and carefully crafted book represents an important contribution (and)...provides an important synthesis for both scientists interested in elucidating meditative practices from an empirical vantage and clinicians striving to hone their skills as agents of health and well being."

This article was written by Diane Yapko and originally published in the Family Therapy Magazine (May/June 2008). Diane is a speech-language pathologist and has worked with children on the autism spectrum for 30 years. This article focuses on four common strategies that are effective in working with this population.

This article addresses the use of hypnosis within the context of working with children on the autism spectrum. Initially published in Italian in L'ipnosi con i bambini e gli adolescenti (Edited by Maria Luara Fasciana and published by FrancoAngeli, Milano Italy). It will also be published in English at a later date.

In this article, Dr. Yapko discusses his newest book Depression is Contagious (Free Press, 2009). The premise of which is that depression is spread primarily by social interaction in the family and in other intimate relationships. And the most effective prescription may be to bolster social skills. From: Psychology Today. Sept/Oct. 2009
